‘I’ve always been depressed’ – Snoop Dogg’s daughter reveals battle with ‘severe stroke’

Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, has revealed that she suffered a “severe stroke.”

Page Six reported that the 24-year-old, who is the only daughter of the rapper and his wife, Shante Broadus, revealed the news of her medical emergency on her Instagram Story Thursday.

“I had a severe stroke this am,” she wrote over a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed. “I started breaking down crying when they told me.”

In a follow-up post, she shared a selfie in a face mask with the caption, “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”

Cori did not provide any additional details on her health scare, but she was diagnosed with lupus at the age of 6.

Lupus is “an autoimmune disease, which means that your immune system — the body system that usually fights infections — attacks healthy tissue instead,” according to the Lupus Foundation of America.

It is a lifelong condition that can cause “inflammation and pain in any part of the body including the joints, kidneys, skin, blood cells, brain, lungs and heart.”

There is currently no cure for the disease.

Because lupus can affect so many organs in the body, it can also increase the risk of a stroke.

Cori, who sings under the moniker Choc, has been open in the past about her physical and mental health struggles.

In May 2021, she revealed on Instagram that she had attempted to end her life.

“I’ve always been sad. I’ve always been depressed. I feel like I’ve been through a lot,” she said at the time.

“I’ve been sick, I am sick. It’s a lot. Body hurting, you’re just in pain, and you’re so young you’re like, ‘What is happening to me? What is going on?’ And then you look at your brothers and your other family members like, ‘Why me?’ Not saying I wish they had it, but why me? Why am I going through this? Why did God choose me?”

Cori shared in September 2023 that she was taking a more holistic approach in her battle with lupus.

“I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago,” she told People. “I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body’s like, ‘OK, this is the new program, and she’s getting used to it.’”

Cori was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease, at age 6.

Cori explained to the magazine that while she had been dependent on medication “all [her] life,” she “wanted to change because it just became a lot” to take “10 to 12 pills every single day.”

Cori, who goes by Princess Broadus on Instagram, has been engaged to her boyfriend, Wayne Duece, since November 2022.

“The easiest YES ever,” she captioned a video of the proposal. “@wayneduece I love you so much and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with youu [sic].”

BRIEF HISTORY Of the Gbagyi people.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja  is actually their homeland.

Gbagyi or Gwari (also spelled Gbari) are peaceful, agriculturalist, artistic and Nupoid-speaking people living in North-Central geo-political zone of Nigeria. They predominantly live in the Niger, Kaduna States and the Federal Capital Territory.
They are also found in Nasarawa and Kogi States in central Nigerian Area. Gbagyi is the most populated ethnic Group and indigenous in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, where their major occupation is farming.

According to oral tradition, the first settler was a hunter who went to hunt in Paikokun land, a thick forest in Abuja. Paikokun was the name of the mountain where the first settler inhabited. The Gbagyi people initially used to live on mountain tops because they believed they were safer on the mountain than at the plain before western civilization made most of them relocate to the plain.

HOW TO SPOT GBAGYI
Very unique to the Gbagyi women is the placing of goods however heavy on their shoulder. They believe the head represents the king of the entire body, hence, it should not be disturbed. They call the part of their body they place their goods as Bwapa. They also believe the load feel lighter on their shoulders than on their heads. It is very much still in practice till date.

Marriage among the people of Gbagyi is soaked in deep tradition. When a man announces his interest in a woman, he would have to serve 7 years in the bride’s father’s farm, labouring and supplying grains and other produce to the bride’s house in order for her to be well fed. Nowadays, the groom simply pay the bride’s price instead of serving 7 years in the bride’s father’s house.

RELIGION
In their traditional religion, some Gbayi believe in a God called Shekwoi, the one who was there before their ancestors, but they also devote themselves to appeasing deities of the god such as Maigiro.  Indigenously, their main religion is Knunu, which they believe protects them from the evil that exist in the community.

FOOD
The Gwari people enjoy eating a meal known as Wyizhe. It is made from Guinean corn which is also used to make a special drink known as Zhepwo. The Gwari people also enjoy drinking a soup known as Knadolo made from locust beans.

CLOTHING
The Gbagyi people wear tie and dye clothing known as Ajeside, made from local cotton and traditional woven and dyed.

OCCUPATION
The Gbagyi people are mostly farmers although they are also good in wood fetching, pottery, and blacksmith.

Buhari Deserves No Credit For Osinbajo's Swift Action

Anyone who gives credit to Buhari for the firing of Lawal Daura is being disingenuous. This is entirely Osinbajo’s initiative, which may (or may not) put him at odds with Buhari. Buhari is an absent president—in both symbolic and physical terms. That’s a nice way to say he is a lazy, incompetent, detached president who watches blithely as everything around him crumbles, as the nation groans and burns under the weight of his unprecedented ineptitude. And that's why it takes his physical absence for the country to have a chance to see a semblance of the presence of leadership.

When the IGP openly disobeyed Buhari's instruction to relocate to Benue to contain the heartrending bloodletting in the state, nothing happened to the IGP. Kemi Adeosun forged an NYSC certificate and outraged the moral sensibility of the nation. Not a word has been heard from the presidency up to now. Obono-Obla, one of Buhari’s points men in the “war against corruption,” has been conclusively shown to have forged his school certificate. Nothing has been heard from Buhari.

Former SGF Babachir David Lawal fleeced internally displaced people in the northeast of millions of naira. Buhari actually wrote in his personal capacity to defend him! It took the same Osinbajo who fired Daura today to recommend Lawal’s firing. Yet Lawal is still a denizen of the presidential villa, hasn't been prosecuted, and is, in fact, Buhari’s campaign coordinator in Adamawa State as I write this.  The examples are almost limitless. Even APC chairman Oshiomhole was compelled to admit recently that Buhari condones “disrespect” to his office, which was a pleasant way to say that the president is an incompetent, aloof “leader.”

Had Buhari been in the country during this primitive, ironclad strangulation of the legislature by forces of the DSS, we wouldn’t have heard anything from the presidency much less see a swift action. At best, we might have gotten one of those dishonest, mealy-mouthed prevarications called presidential press releases. What we are seeing now is a consequence of what I have referred to as Osinbajo’s “symbolic presence” in previous columns, a quality Buhari sorely lacks. Buhari is a blight on Nigeria and may be the death of the country. Nigeria has never had a more clueless president than Buhari.

My son was brainwashed - Osama bin Laden's mother breaks her silence

The mother of deceased al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden has given her first interview 7 years after her son's death, claiming he was a "very good kid" who was radicalised during his time at university.

Alia Ghanem, the mother of Osama Bin Laden has revealed her anguish at the way her son’s life turned out. Alia in her mid-70s recalled her firstborn son changed during his days in King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, where he studied Economics.

Bin Laden's mother said her son was a very good child until he met some people who pretty much brainwashed him. Alia Ghanen speaking to The Guardian newspaper at her family’s home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, said that her eldest son was ‘brainwashed’ into extremist ideology.

Bin Laden's mother who is in her mid 70s, recalls her firstborn as a shy boy who was academically capable. He became a strong, driven, pious figure in his early 20s, she says, while studying economics at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, where he was also radicalised.

She said: “The people at university changed him, he became a different man.” One of the men he met there was Abdullah Azzam, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood who was later exiled from Saudi Arabia and became Osama’s spiritual adviser.

“He was a very good child until he met some people who pretty much brainwashed him in his early 20s. You can call it a cult. They got money for their cause. I would always tell him to stay away from them, and he would never admit to me what he was doing, because he loved me so much.”

“I am very proud of him in the sense that he was my oldest brother,” he eventually continues. “He taught me a lot. But I don’t think I’m very proud of him as a man. He reached superstardom on a global stage, and it was all for nothing.”

Ghanem listens intently, becoming more animated when the conversation returns to Osama’s formative years. “He was very straight. Very good at school. He really liked to study. He spent all his money on Afghanistan – he would sneak off under the guise of family business.”

On if she ever suspect he might become a jihadist? “It never crossed my mind,” she said.

Alia went on to reveal, how she felt after her son had become a jihadist saying: “We were extremely upset. I did not want any of this to happen. Why would he throw it all away like that?

Some personal letters seized in the raid that killed bin Laden show that his son, Hamza, is set on avenging his father’s death.

Former FBI agent, Ali Soufan, while speaking to CBS News in an interview said: “He tells him that…he remembers ‘every look…every smile you gave me, every word you told me."

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE;

A story is told of a Monkey who clapped it's hands as it watched the Elephant and Hippo fighting.

One of the legs of the Hippo was eventually broken.

The Medicine man said he needed the veins of the Monkey to prepare the medicine.

When the Monkey was caught and told the reason it sadly said,
"I would have reconciled them if I had known that the conflict would eventually affect me. " It was too late for the Monkey.

Let us all be part of the positive solution. Every crisis you see or hear about, close or far away will one day affect you too.

Use your opportunities well by preaching peace, unity and love. You may also cry one day if you don't help today.

Hate speeches encourages/causes disunity which is inimical to our collective survival and well being.

Russian Lawmaker Wants The Government To Ban "Beauty and the Beast" Over Gay "Propaganda

A Russian lawmaker wants the government to ban Disney's new "Beauty and the Beast" remake after labeling it "a blatant, shameless propaganda of sin and perverted sexual relationships."

It says the movie should not be shown in Russia if the ministry found "elements of propaganda of homosexuality." The Ministry of Culture has not yet issued a ruling on the film, which stars Emma Watson and is scheduled to open in Russia March 16th, 2017.

The movie is rated PG and is a live-action remake of the 1991 animated hit. Its director, Bill Condon, has said the character of LeFou, fawning sidekick to the villainous Gaston, has an "exclusively gay moment" in the film.

Russia's government passed a legislation in 2013 prohibiting the spreading of "gay propaganda" among others. The law, which described homosexuality as "non-traditional sexual relations," bars the public discussion of gay rights and relationships anywhere children might hear it.

(Photo) The Little Baby Born With Biggest Tongue, The Size Of A Grown Man

A baby who nearly choked to death because of the size of her huge tongue can now breath a sigh of relief after doctors successfully reduced the size of her tongue.
The baby was born with an adult-sized tongue due to a rare genetic condition, Dailymail reports.

Paisley Morrison-Johnson had such a large tongue that she needed help breathing for the first week of her life to stop her from choking to death. She was born with Beckwith Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) – a rare overgrowth disorder affecting around one in every 14,000 births worldwide

The report further revealed that the rare condition caused her tongue to grow more than twice the size of her mouth, which meant she struggled to feed.

So Paisley, from Aberdeen in South Dakota, had to be fed through a tube in her stomach until she was six month’s old.

Parents Madison Kienow, 21, and Shannon Morrison-Johnson, 23, agreed to surgery to slice parts of it away. But her tongue continued to grow back and still hung out of her mouth.

Six months ago, Paisley had her second tongue reduction and has smiled for the first time after having a total of more than six inches of muscle removed.

Paisley, who is 16 months old, is now enunciating the sounds that will allow her to speak her first words.

‘Her tongue filled up her whole mouth, it was very thick and protruding out of her mouth,’ said Ms Kienow, a medical student. Her parents are so delighted with the latest development.

Doctors believe Paisley will do well as they continue to monitor her after surgery.

Corruption!!! DSS Finds Rolls Royce,15 Exotic Cars In Judge’s House As Others Confess

During the invasion of the official residence of one of the seven judges raided recently, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) discovered a fleet of 15 exotic cars including a Rolls-Royce.

A source close to the investigation who pleaded not to be named because he is not permitted to talk to the media said:

“Operatives have discovered that one of the judges owns a mansion which was contracted to a construction firm at a huge cost. In fact, the judge imported furniture from Brazil, Argentina and Spain.

“At a stage, he conducted his ‘poor colleagues’ round the mansion in an open display of affluence. The judge has about 15 cars, including a Rolls-Royce. This Rolls-Royce was imported.

Rolls-Royce Limited is a British car manufacturing and, later, aero-engine manufacturing company founded by Charles Stewart Rolls and Sir Frederick Henry Royce on 15 March 1906 as a result of a partnership formed in 1904. Its latest cars cost at least a whopping N100 million depending on the brand and the exchange rate of the naira to a dollar.

The same judge whose name is being shielded, according to The Nation, was reportedly said to have hired a notable construction firm to build his palatial home. He also imported furniture from foreign countries.

Detectives also uncovered more corrupt practices traced to some of the judges undergoing probe, according to the source, during interrogation, another judge reportedly told the DSS that he did not know how and when N18 million got into his account because he was not getting alerts from his bank which would have made him lodge a complaint. Despite the judge’s denial, the source said: “but we have evidence of withdrawals from the account.”

One of the judges also said the money found in his account was his accumulated medical allowances. Responding to a question, the source revealed that another judge was found to have submitted three assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

He said:-

“We have retrieved the assets declaration forms of these judges. It was shocking that one of them has three asset declaration forms with different dates of birth.”

The asset forms of the seven arrested judges were being analysed by the DSS as at yesterday, the report said.

While the judges have continued to make useful information to the operatives, the government seems to have foreclosed their return to their profession as it is believed they cannot be facing trial and still be in the adjudicating cases.

The Justices who were recently arrested in a string operation by the DSS include Justices Sylvester Ngwuta and Inyang Okoro – the suspended Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division, Justice Mohammed Ladan Tsamiya, who was picked up in Sokoto; Justice Adeniyi Ademola (Federal High Court); the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice I. A. Umezulike; Justice Kabiru Auta of Kano State High Court; and Justice Muazu Pindiga (Gombe State High Court).

The source further told disclosed that the government has asked the National Judicial Council (NJC) to suspend the affected judges pending the outcome of their trial. He added that those who may not be allowed back to the bench are Justice Ngwuta, Justice Okoro, Justice Ademola and Justice Pindiga, as they could be retired. However, he said that the judges will still go through a trial to enable Nigerians to know that “they were actually caught in the act”. The source further said:

“The position of the government is that none of these judges will be allowed back to the bench in the interest of the nation’s Judiciary. They cannot be arraigned in the dock and at the same time be adjudicating or attending to cases.

“It is left to the NJC to allow the affected judges to keep off the bench until their fate is determined. But certainly, they will face trial and the outcome will determine whether or not they will be retired or dismissed.

“We are expecting the NJC to do the needful by suspending the judges.”

Tree Man’ Feeds Himself For The First Time After Surgery

A YOUNG man nicknamed the ‘Tree Man’ from Bangladesh is now able to feed himself for the first time in almost a decade, thanks to surgeons freeing his hand of bark like growths

Suffering from the extremely rare condition known as Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis, Abul Bajandar, 25, has been struggling with the growths since he was 15 years old.

He said: ”It makes me so uncomfortable, restless, that I cannot stand or sit in one place. It just drives me crazy.”
The condition, which is a virus, causes tumours and warts to appear all over the body as well as increase the production of keratin, the substance nails are made from.
Abul along with his mother, wife and daughter, travelled by bus for a gruelling six hours from their rural village to the capital, Dhaka, to receive medical help.
Although extremely rare, Abul is not the first person to have such a dramatic reaction to the virus.
Dede Koswara, a man from Indonesia famously received worldwide recognition as the first tree man, and underwent surgery in an attempt to remove all his growths.
Armed with more knowledge about the condition, doctors treating Abul were confident about carrying out a surgical procedure, opting to operate on one of his hands, rather than a few fingers at a time.
Plastic surgeon, Dr Samanta Lal Sen was one of the surgeons that oversaw the operation on Abul.
He said: “We were planning to do only two fingers, but we have done five fingers. It’s beyond our expectation!”
The father-of-one was amazed at the result of the complex surgery and could feel the results immediately. The father-of-one was amazed at the result of the complex surgery and could feel the results immediately.
