Photos of Air Hostess feeding a paralyzed elderly man on a flight goes viral

A passenger on a Zhengzhou-to-Haikou flight captured these photos of an air hostess feeding a paralyzed passenger. The photos posted online has since gone viral with many people hailing her kind gesture. After seeing 71-year-old Niu struggling to eat, air hostess Fan Xuesong went above and beyond her duty, to help him eat.

The retired medical professor from Henan Province was traveling with his wife to Haikou. Due to paralysis from cerebral infarction two years ago, Niu is dependent on a wheelchair entirely, so the aircrew had transferred him to the only remaining wider seat in the first row. And as his wife was separated and seated a few rows behind, she couldn’t help him.

"The moment I asked to feed him, he just burst into tears," Fan told the Zhengzhou Evening News. Serving passengers was her responsibility, Fan said when Niu thanked her for her service.

9 year old girl badly beaten by her madam (photos)

A concerned woman shared photos of a badly beaten 9 year old Onyinyechi on her Facebook page, saying Onyinye, who serves as a housemaid, was beaten by her madam/aunty. How you can beat a girl this little, to the extent that you leave marks on her body and give her a red patch on her eye is beyond me. People like this should be arrested. Below is what the woman shared on Facebook...

A little girl called Onyinyechi (9yrs) always come to my mum’s shop where am currently working while waiting for youth service, to buy some things for her Aunty. This little girl is always full of smiles but only when you take a closer look at her, would you see the agony she passes through in the hands of her madam.

On Monday when she came to the shop, there were blood stains on her cloth and when I looked at her head, I saw that it was broken in two different places.

When I asked who did that to her, she said that it was her Aunty that broke her head because her aunty’s  daughter’s baby food finished and she did not tell her. I was close to tears and when I asked if she had eaten she said no, by 12pm ooo

I wanted to send in this post that day but I decided to wait but what I saw today was another level of wickedness.

Onyinyechi came to the shop today to see me, to show me the latest designs her aunty made on her body with bite and belt marks included. Flogging her with belt and giving her a red patch on her eye was not enough, she had to bite her too and she is not going to school.

Please readers, I would love it if any human right worker can help this little girl before she dies in the hands of her madam please help. The names of her parents are Mr and Mrs Bernard and Rose Nkrem in Umunoha, Imo State, but she does not have their contact or that of any of her siblings.

If any of you recognises this girl or know her parents, please contact them to come and take their daughter away before her corpse will be all that is left to take. God bless you all.

My contact is 08183324443; if there is someone willing to help, I will be glad. We know where the girl and her Aunty lives. Thanks a lot for trying to put a smile and give hope to this little girl.”

Only 8 high profile corruption cases have been successfully concluded since EFCC started- Osinbajo

VP Yemi Osinbajo has decried the low conviction rate in high profile corruption cases in Nigeria, saying that since the inception of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2002, only eight high profile cases have been successfully concluded despite widespread corruption in the country.

Osinbajo said this at a workshop on sections 306 & 396 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 and Delay of Corruption Cases, organised by the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS) and the Presidential Committee on Corruption (PAAC) in Abuja yesterday December 9th. Osinbajo was represented by the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN).

He said of the eight cases that have been concluded, one was overturned by the Supreme Court on technical grounds, which implies that only seven major convictions have been secured after trial in 13 years.

“We must do more. This is not a campaign for conviction at all cost in high profile cases, but a campaign that the law must be allowed to follow its course and high or low profile corruption cases must be concluded within the time allotted by law,” he said.

See how badly a woman beat up a sex attacker

Jonathan Holmes will think twice about assaulting a woman ever again. CCTV camera caught him hiding behind walls and looking out for a victim after a drunken night out. Around midnight, he began following his intended victim, pushed her and tried to drag into the bushes. What he did not anticipate however is the fight she put up. The woman punched him twice in the stomach while holding her house keys and began to scream.

Holmes pushed her onto her back and said: “You are going to enjoy this” before forcing his tongue into her mouth.

She bit it and continued to hit him in the stomach, face and neck.

Two passers by came to her aid and Holmes fled.

The woman told the court: “I believed without a doubt this man was going to rape me. My life would have been over – he might as well have killed me right there. I was so terrified but so angry.”

Holmes pleaded guilty to sexual assault with his defence lawyer saying the attack was “completely out of character”.

He said he had been drunk at the time of the incident and had no recollection of it.
The lawyer said he was “sorry for his actions”.

He has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Photos: 11 year old potential child suicide bomber arrested in Borno

Press statement from the Nigerian Military below...

Vigilant troops of 7 Division Garrison providing security at Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, Dalori in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, Borno State on  Tuesday afternoon apprehended an 11-year-old boy, Master Usman Modu Tella, a potential suicide bomber. He is suspect number 82 on the poster containing the photographs of 100 wanted suspected Boko Haram terrorists released by the Nigerian Army.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was from Bama town and is among 4 other children trained for suicide bombing by the Boko Haram terrorists. He further added that the 3 others have already carried out their missions at different locations. His job was to do same in the camp sometime in the future.

The boy also pointed out one other Boko Haram senior member, Alhaji Kerewu Abubakar at the camp. It will be recalled that due to the concerted efforts of the military quite a number of towns and villages hitherto held by the Boko Haram terrorists were liberated, this brought about an unprecedented influx of IDPs to the camp which the terrorists took advantage and infiltrate in order to wreck more havoc among the society.

The case of these suspects clearly indicated this point hence the need for proper screening of all IDPs with a view to ascertain their true identity. The apprehension of the suspects is a boost to the fight against terrorism and insurgency in that they were assisting with investigation that would lead to the arrest of more suspected terrorists in the camp and elsewhere.

You are please requested to disseminate this information to the public through your medium. Thank you for your kind and usual cooperation.
